Ian MacIntyre is a retired teacher and union leader, who is ready to continue delivering for his community as the Liberal candidate for Elmwood—Transcona in this up-coming by-election.

Ian has spent decades working to build a better future for youth and workers across Manitoba. He worked as an educator in the River East Transcona School Division for 24 years and previously served as President of the Manitoba Teachers’ Society.

As a dedicated community leader, Ian serves on the board of a local organization that provides housing to Manitobans with cognitive disabilities. He supports the organization’s work to find volunteer and work placements for youth and adults living with disabilities, so they can acquire new skills in a caring and supportive environment.

Now, Ian is ready to be the next Member of Parliament for Elmwood—Transcona, where he will work with the Liberal team to build more homes, deliver stronger public health care, lower the cost of living for families and seniors, and make sure everyone in the community has a fair chance to succeed.
